Stroud Ladies ran riot this weekend by beating Wick 6-0 in a pre-season friendly.
Sarah Cook opened the scoring for Stroud early in the first half with a fine near post goal with Pauline Edgington following suit with an identical goal shortly afterwards.
Defensively, Stroud were not pushed too far this week but, as always, when asked Viv Mann and Karen Porter broke down any attack.
With the midfield working as hard as ever the ball was continually pushed towards the Stroud forwards.
Caron Spindler scored another great goal and, as ever, Abbi Powell was there to score her first of the match - Stroud went into the half-time break 4-0 up.
The second half was as hectic as the first and Wick managed to make a couple of good breaks.
Sophie Whittaker made some fantastic moves and, with her usual skill and pace, set herself up for an impressive goal.
Stroud's wingers did some serious running this week and, with the team working well as a whole, set up Abbi Powell for her second goal of the game leaving the end result at 6-0.

Woman of the Match : Sophie Whittaker (forward)
